All acoustic musicians are
welcome. Our guest musicians at the open mic either "sit in," or
perform on their own. We've had people perform bluegrass, folk, old time,
original songs, blues, country, polka, and acoustic rock. Folks have played the
guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, Dobro, harmonica, accordion, flute,
trumpet, and even the dijeridoo ! A sound system with several microphones is
provided. There's always a good audience on Wednesday nights and they love to
hear new guest musicians.

For
over seven years,
Art and Stephanie
Stevenson and Dale Reichert hosted the weekly open mic. We would like to thank
all the customers, musicians, and the staff of the Northland Ballroom for
making our stay such a happy time. We have had many great nights out there and
will miss it, I'm sure. High Water's performance schedule can be seen at http://highwatermusic.com/Calendar.htm We will visit
the open mic from time to time. Dale and I will be there once a month with some
of our best picking friends! Again, thanks for all the great nights at the
Northland Ballroom, and keep the music alive with Sloppy Joe! - Art
Stevenson, 10/18/06
